Dear colleagues,

We are very glad to announce the call for extended abstracts for a special issue of Matemática Contemporânea devoted to works presented in the Latin American Workshop on Cliques in Graphs, LAWCG 2018.

We invite all participants, including plenary speakers, to submit extended abstracts of the works presented at the conference, as well as works of general interest within the conference themes. The extended abstracts should contain at most 6 (six) pages and they will be subject to a new refereeing process. Please find the new template in the LAWCG 2018 webpage http://www.lawcg.mat.br/lawcg18/publication.

The extended abstracts (a .pdf file) must be submitted by e-mail to lawcg2018@eic.cefet-rj.br with the subject “Submission to Matemática Contempoânea - LAWCG 2018”. 

The deadline for submission is March 15th, 2019.

É com muita alegria e satisfação que repasso a notícia da premiação do brasileiro, nosso colega,Yoshiharu Kohayakawa, do IME-USP, São Paulo, agraciado com o Prêmio Fulkerson, pelo artigo:

"The chromatic thresholds of graphs", Adv. Math. 235, 261-295 (2013) 

Em autoria com Peter Allen, Julia Böttcher, Simon Griffiths e Robert Morris. O Robert Morris e Simon Griffiths são professores do IMPA e PUC-Rio, logo é essa premiação é quase que integralmente brasileira.
