Workshop

5-8 October, 2026

Submissions

Contributed talks covering original work on the conference topics will be accepted for presentation.

Prospective authors should submit an at most 2-page abstract of their work following this LaTeX format. Other formats will not be accepted for submission.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the EasyChair submission system.

For each accepted abstract, at least one author must register and attend the symposium (in person) to present it. Moreover, an author cannot register for multiple abstracts. That is, each accepted abstract must have its own registrant.

Proceedings

The abstracts of accepted submissions will not be formally published, but will be compiled into a Book of Abstracts that will be made available on the event website.

After the workshop, there will be a call for papers for a special issue of the Matemática Contemporânea, as in the previous editions of LAWCG. All interested researchers will be invited to submit an extended abstract describing their contributions. The submitted papers will go through the normal peer-review process, following the guidelines of Matemática Contemporânea.

Program

A detailed program will be announced in due course. The event runs from 4:00 pm on 5 October to 2:00 pm on 8 October.

Registration

The event will take place at Hotel Monte Real, and all participants are required to stay at this hotel for the duration of the event.

During registration, participants must choose between a single room or a shared double room. Participants selecting a double room may indicate their preferred roommate during registration; if no preference is provided, the organizing team will make the room assignment.

Participants are also welcome to bring accompanying guests, such as family members or children. Please note that accompanying persons are individuals staying at the conference venue who do not participate in the workshop's scientific programme. If both you and your partner are participating in the scientific programme, please complete separate registration forms.

Registration fee

The registration fee is all-inclusive and covers accommodation, all meals (breakfasts, coffee-breaks, lunches, and dinners), leisure facilities at the hotel, and transportation between USP/GRU Airport and the hotel (on Monday and on Thursday).

Expenses for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as extra services such as minibar, laundry, and any other costs incurred by participants during their stay, will be the responsibility of the participants and must be paid at hotel check-out.

There are Full and Reduced registrations. Reduced registration is reserved only for undergrad students, master students, and PhD students.

Each registration (Full or Reduced) covers participation in the scientific programme, regardless of the number of papers presented by the participant. For each paper, at least one of its authors must be registered for the event (Full or Reduced). Papers must be presented by one of their authors; presentations by non-authors are not permitted.
